The CTA Mentoring Program provides registered CTA newcomers to the profession an opportunity to interact with and learn from seasoned CTA translators or interpreters. Mentees will be matched with an experienced CTA member who has volunteered to provide guidance and advice throughout the program’s one-year duration period. The program is free to registered CTA members and runs from January through December. Participation is limited, so early applications are encouraged.
What the CTA Mentoring Program is:
- a chance for mentors and mentees to learn from each other
- a means for mentees to access the experience gained by a mentor over years of professional activity
- an opportunity for veteran translators/interpreters to gain a fresh perspective, help a fellow language enthusiast, and boost their resumes
What the CTA Mentoring Program is not:
- a marketing course
- a translation training program
- a job network
